Worked as R&D chemist for 12 years for companies including Albright and Wilson and William Blythe.
Moved on to become quality Manager with Britvic Soft Drinks Ltd private label division, where I was trained in operational excellence, management practices and auditing. During this time I was trained as a lead auditor and Sainsbury’s supplier self auditor.
Moved into print with Field packaging where I progressed from quality Manager to Technical Manager UK. Oversaw quality and environmental compliance, lean six sigma transformation and qualified as a lean six sigma black belt. Implemented and supported lean six sigma projects throughout this time.
Moved on to Technical Director for security holographics, laminating and hot stamping films with API foils and holographics, implementing lean six sigma practices. Managed quality, R&D and origination functions in addition to senior management team responsibilities. I supported strategic planning and business direction planning, and was a member of the team responsible for moving the sites from loss making to profitable.
Became Technical Director at James Dewhurst Technical Textiles, supporting the development of improved quality and technical systems before starting my own consultancy business in 2016
